Transmissions and selector modules
A transmission control module is an electronic mechanism that collects data and processes signals within your transmission in order to regulate the transmission’s gear shifting.
Low refrigerant will prevent your vehicle's air conditioner from operating. This is actually the single most common problem for an AC not to blow cold air. We can also help with any other AC problems.
Lubrication plays a key role in the life expectancy of an engine. Without oil, an engine would succumb to overheating and seizing very quickly. Lubricants help mitigate this problem, and if properly monitored and maintained, can extend the life of your motor.
Oil breaks down and oxidizes at a certain rate. Changing your oil every 3000 miles will prevent damage to your motor and greatly extend it's life as well as avoid breakdowns.
Fuel filters should be replaced around every 40,000 miles or more. The best way to tell if your fuel filter needs replacing is to have the mechanic do a fuel pressure test. This lets the mechanic know how much PSI the fuel pump is generating at the fuel rail, with a faulty fuel filter reducing the pressure produced.
By rotating your tires, you give the tires a chance to even out their wear and get extended life out of your tires. We recommend having your tires rotated about every 5000 miles, or at least every time you go in for an oil change. If your owner's manual states that your car doesn't need new oil that frequently, then plan on a tire rotation at least once every six months.
Always consult your owner's manual for individual service schedules because maintenance requirements vary by manufacturer.
